Each set also contains 2 additional filters. The MP-70 respirator protects the respiratory tract from radioactive dust and aerosols. It does NOT protect against vapors of poisonous substances. It consists of a rubber half-mask, two filter boxes, two exhalation valves.

The respirator is placed on the face so that the beard and nose fit well into the rubber half-mask. The bands are pressed against the head, one passing above the ears and the other below them. The replacement of the filter material in the filters is carried out by respirator users, after feeling difficulty in breathing.
